Abstract: Electromagnetic inverse scattering problems for point-like scatterers are considered in this presentation. A scatterer can be treated as point-like when its size is much smaller than one wavelength. Although the inverse scattering problem is a nonlinear problem, it can be solved without iteratively evaluating the corresponding forward problem, which means that the problem can be solved very fast. In this presentation, the multiple signal classification (MUSIC) method and the two-step least squares method are provided, with the former being used to locate pointlike scatterers and the latter being used to retrieve the scattering strengths of point-like scatterers.
